With Jennifer Connelly in it, I couldn’t help but think it’s A Beautiful Mind turned Dark Matter after Dark City and Dark Water.

I'm 99% sure the singing voice in the movie belongs to Gianna Nannini. And the subject is based on her autobiography, so I guess the story is also (more or less) true to her

I’m hooked on not only this show, but also learning about the real life story since I had never heard about it before. It makes it such a more emotional watch but I appreciate Reena’s story being introduced to a new generation since I read that her mother would speak at schools & events to talk about Reena & spread awareness 🖤

I kept waiting for the shoe to drop… 😂😂😂. And then it kind of does, but it is very subtle… I enjoyed the Maze Runner franchise, overall. But definitely, each successive one buckled under its own weight, and I felt the same for the Ape movies. The first one is probably my favorite.

I read the book some 5 years ago. I don't remember all details, but I wasn't as enthusiastic about it as you. I still enjoyed it, and was entertained by it, especially the start and the last 100 pages or so. It certainly had a very good finale. But, overall, the book was about 3.5/5 for me. It is one of those books that the more you think about it, the less you rate it :). However, I always thought it made a very good material for a TV show/movie. I even dare to say that the writer had an adaptation in mind while writing. Apple is not one of the platforms I have all year, but at some point I will subscribe for a month or two and watch it.

I don't usually catch many French films, let alone French horror. A few weeks back I was watching a French zombie film which really impressed me, especially considering it almost entirely took place in a small block of flats. I thought the silent zombies were a real interesting touch. It got me interested in seeing more French horror and this was popping up around the place. Glad to see it's getting pretty reasonable reviews.

You could tell A Man in Full was a novel based upon the dialog and the coherent theme. Yes, all the stories are about how3 much better life is when you live your life with vigor and doing things your way, even when it can cost you. Conrad is not exactly noble, so I disagree. He punched out a cop over what was a minor traffic thing. Conrad basically admits his way is fading as modern people do not care for his living his life his way and screw everyone else, even if his enemies admit they do admire it at times. The performances were good though, and it was not boring. The ending was quite a surprise. But it was not perfect. I think Conrad's plot was just removed from Kroker's so it was like two separate stories completely. except for each following that esoteric theme. But it did not impact the main plot at all. And they really needed to do more with the Concourse Building and how important it was to Kroker. Because it really played a big part later in the story. I agree it was like a 3/5

I think you're missing the point, the mystery was never really the story. I actually think it was an intentional red herring to lure people into a "fun teenage mystery flick" and instead gave us something meaningful and deep. Which I personally loved. Nothing like being pleasantly surprised with a movie despite the synopsis underselling it.

Interesting to watch. But the Spanish legal system here seems so different from other countries. Here the judge is the investigator, the police, the prosecutor and the person who delivers decision. So strange. The mother was such a complicated weak character. The father was weird like hiding something. Everyone acted very well. Especially the judge. He reminded me so much of that American actor Michael Keaton.
